Faith In Action Faith In Action was a BIG success!! On Sunday October 16, 2011 we cancelled church and went out into the community to serve and share the message of God's love in a practical way. The best thing about FIA was that we spent the day being CHRISTLIKE! - A large crew worked at Western Hills Primary School cleaning out the flower beds and putting down
new mulch for the students and painted some existing structures. - Tables were set up at two laundromats with bottled water, goodies and lots of children's books to give. We had tons of quarters to give for people to do their laundry for FREE. Many people also took home Bibles!
- We visited our members who cannot come to church because of health reasons. All those visited were given goodies and a wonderful lap quilt. We also visited our local Police Department and Fire Department and left them with words of encouragement and goodies.
- Some stayed at church and worked on our Church Library renovation and card writing to prospective members or those we have not seen in awhile.
We began the day with prayer and ended with refreshments in the fellowship hall, where we shared the opportunities each of us had to spread Christ's love through our community.
